# Maahir: practical learning, shared opportunity

A Server4Sale initiative | Discussion brief | 7 October 2026

## The proposition

Maahir teaches AI skills and connects them with guided exercises, role-play, decisions, communication and project practice. Organizations can explore a programme around the people they serve, with a clear learning goal and useful work to review.

Learner access is 100% free. Delivery still requires technology, AI resources, people, access support and evaluation. Specific availability, support, third-party costs and programme scope must be agreed. This brief is not a funding agreement or a promise of employment, sales or income.

## Seven possible starting points

| Programme | Practical work | Proposed review |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Women’s capability | A clear offer, customer response and professional-boundary practice | Clarity, accuracy, listening and a small test |
| Youth job readiness | A checked portfolio sample, truthful CV entry and interview response | Relevance, explanation, personal contribution and reflection |
| Disability-inclusive remote learning | A learner-chosen work sample and access checklist | Relevant skill criteria with appropriate adjustments; barriers and resolutions |
| Community labs | Guided AI tasks using an existing learning space | Usable access, completed practice and reviewed outputs |
| Teacher development | A timed lesson plan, alternative explanation and checked questions | Correctness, objective alignment and checks for understanding |
| Small enterprises | Customer questions, an offer or a bounded workflow prototype | Actual feedback, errors or time on an agreed small test |
| NGO and service teams | A reviewed communication or fictional-data prototype | Accuracy, clarity, privacy and accountability |

## How learning works

Choose a task, understand the instructions, attempt the work, rehearse a relevant conversation, inspect feedback, revise and explain the result. Classic exercises provide a brief and expected output; AI-assisted guidance can support questions and explanations. Available language options, tools and support should be checked in the actual learning flow.

Mastery tracks organize role-specific learning. Coaching and masterclasses, when offered, complement practice; their availability is not unlimited or assumed. A project, badge or AI score alone does not establish professional readiness.

## A possible division of responsibilities

- Maahir: learning access and a jointly scoped approach to orientation, content suitability and support.
- Community or institutional partner: outreach, local context, a coordinator, agreed facilities or access support, and relevant referrals.
- Jointly: eligibility, accessibility checks, safeguarding, consent, data controls, duration, review criteria, staffing and budget.

Contributions may include mentors, reviewers, project briefs, equipment, connectivity, facilities, subject expertise or funding. A proposed model does not imply a confirmed relationship with any named organization.

## What support would enable

Validate costs for AI usage, hosting and maintenance; orientation and coaching; local coordination; devices or connectivity where needed; accessibility; content and language adaptation; safeguarding; and evidence review. Separate fixed setup costs from usage and delivery costs. Agree ownership and continuation costs before expansion. No per-learner price is asserted in this brief.

## Evidence and reporting

Agree a baseline task, comparable end task and a transparent review rubric before starting. Report participation, completion, reviewed work and longer-term outcomes separately. Employment or income requires separate verification. Include the reporting period, sample size, missing information and limitations.

Use aggregate reporting by default. Learner stories need permission; minors need appropriate consent and safeguarding arrangements. Do not publish private conversations, medical details or identifiable scores. Review the actual operational policies during due diligence.

## SDG relevance

Programme themes may relate to SDGs 4, 5, 8, 10, 16 and 17, depending on the activity. This is a planning alignment, not UN endorsement, certification or proof of development impact. See https://sdgs.un.org/goals and agree indicators that the pilot can actually assess.

## Before agreeing a pilot

Confirm the audience, starting skills, cohort size, goals, access needs, delivery setting, duration, support roles, review process, safeguarding, privacy arrangements, budget and approvals. Verify legal identity and any financial or due-diligence documentation required by the organization. No charitable status or tax deductibility is claimed here.

## Next step

Email hello@maahir.io with the people you want to support, a practical learning goal and resources already available. We can discuss a scoped pilot. Sending an enquiry does not reserve places or create a partnership.
