Small enterprises: improve one real task

Start with a customer need, not a complicated automation. Practice research, clear offers, sales conversations and checked AI-assisted work that a small enterprise can test responsibly.

Who this could serve: Shop owners, freelancers, aspiring entrepreneurs, home enterprises and organizations supporting livelihoods.

Discuss this programme

Illustrative programme design. Scope, support and costs require agreement.

A print-shop owner and a woman compare product samples at a shop counter.
AI-generated illustrative scene—not a photograph of verified participants.
The practical challengeAn owner may be losing time to unclear enquiries, repeated messages or inconsistent product information. A new founder may be building an idea before understanding whether anyone needs it.

How Maahir could teach this

Test one business assumption or improve one bounded workflow, with a useful output and a way to check it.

01

Listen before building

The entrepreneurship track includes idea-versus-opportunity work, customer conversations and validation. Write neutral questions and separate actual customer evidence from AI-generated assumptions.

02

Draft something useful

Create an offer, customer response, quotation checklist or product sample. A print-shop example could explore custom card options after clarifying the occasion, size, quantity and approval process.

03

Practice the difficult moment

Role-play a discount request, complaint or change in scope. Learn to ask, explain choices and avoid promises the business cannot meet.

04

Test a small improvement

Try a limited, approved workflow and record time, errors or feedback. A working integration, payment flow or production application needs additional testing and controls.

Use the actual exercise brief and available support to choose the sequence. This proposed journey connects Maahir formats; it is not a claim that every step is automatically linked or that every tool response has been tested.

Illustrative practice—not a learner testimonial

One situation. A better-prepared response.

The situation

A print-shop customer asks for custom cards but has no clear design brief. The owner wants to use AI to explore options without promising an instant perfect print.

A response to practice

“Who are the cards for, what size and quantity do you need, and which details must be exact? I can prepare draft options for your approval before we check print quality and confirm delivery.”

What to review

Have spelling, permissions, dimensions, colors, costs and approval been checked? AI artwork needs inspection; a preview is not a production-ready print file.

What the learner could show

  • Customer questions and a checked offer
  • A draft business asset or bounded prototype
  • A small test log and next decision

What a partner would help enable

Business mentors, relevant sample briefs, practical reviewers and access to consenting test customers. Confirm rights and confidentiality for any real business information.

How progress could be assessed

Compare turnaround time, factual errors or customer clarity on an agreed test. Keep estimated savings separate from observed savings and sales separate from enquiries.

Set a baseline and agreed review criteria before starting. Keep registrations, participation, skill evidence and longer-term outcomes separate. Report dates, cohort size and limitations, and use aggregate information by default.

SDG alignment: a planning reference

Thematic alignment does not establish measured SDG impact, certification or UN endorsement.

Can learners build an IT solution rather than only use AI tools?

The Build Real Systems with AI track covers scoping, data, business systems and shipping considerations. Begin with users, data, rules and screens. A prototype still needs testing, security review and an operational owner before real deployment.

Important boundaries

Maahir cannot guarantee sales, investment or business viability. Tax, legal, financial and regulated decisions need appropriate professional guidance.

Learner access is 100% free. Devices, connectivity, external tools and agreed programme delivery may involve costs. Confirm eligibility, availability and support in the actual programme.
